Why Choose a Plastic Valve Cap?

Lots of Colors!  Plastic is the same color all the way through and won’t scratch or fade out like some low-quality coatings.  We can also run many different colors, or even run a custom color!

Avoid Stem Corrosion.  Using 2 dissimilar metals can corrode valve stems. Riding in cold weather can cause the cap and stem to cold-weld together. These scenarios can ruin a valve stem which is no fun, and really aggravating to repair especially during a ride or race while fixing a flat!

Lightweight.   It is not much, but plastic caps weigh many times less than aluminum competition.  If you ride in dirty/wet conditions and care about weight, plastic is the lightest option.  Each cap weights less than 0.15 Grams compared to 2-5 grams for aluminum. If you don't ride with caps to save weight, you could be risking major time cleaning or repairing a dirty/corroded valve stem or worse clog up your air chuck/pump.
